Widely considered among the greatest road sprinters of all time, Cavendish returns to his spiritual home in the city of Paris to play host to Team GB fans of all ages, with an Evening with Sir Mark Cavendish to take place on 7th August in Team GB House.
The three-time Olympian counts a silver medal from Rio 2016 among his extensive achievements from a career spanning almost 20 years to date. Alongside a World Road Race title and three World Madison titles, he holds the joint record for the most Tour de France stage victories. He joins the bill for Team GB House just days out from the 2024 Tour de France, where he will attempt to claim the record outright with a 35th stage victory. He was awarded a Knighthood for services to cycling and charity in the King’s Birthday Honours List for 2024.
Cavendish joins the bill for the An Evening With… series alongside fellow Olympic cycling legends Sir Chris Hoy and Dame Laura Kenny. Tickets for all nights at the House are on sale now via House.TeamGB.com.
An Evening with Sir Mark will be complemented by a night of big screen sport at Team GB House, including the women’s team pursuit in cycling, and the men’s 400m and women’s pole vault in athletics.
Mark Cavendish said: “Team GB House was always an amazing place to visit as an athlete. Nothing beats the support of a British crowd! I feel incredibly honoured to be able to visit in a different capacity for Paris 2024 and to be able to lend my own support to the next generation of Team GB athletes alongside legends like Laura, Chris and Jess Ennis-Hill.”
The British Olympic Association (BOA), which runs Team GB, is entirely independently funded. All revenue from ticket sales goes towards supporting the BOA to take athletes to Olympic events, including the Olympic Games, Youth Olympic Games, European Games and more.
