Bangkok, 20 June 2024 – KFC is celebrating its 40th Birthday Festival with the first pop-up store for KFC Thailand, “Kentucky Town Bangkok”, offering a menu of exclusive tastes, fashion and fun for chicken fanatics.
Exclusive new and exciting menu items are making waves, and as always, are super Finger Lickin’ Good. They include Donut Zinger Burger, Volcano Dunked Wingz and Zabb Bucket, as well as items long missed by many such as Double Down, Zabb Chicken Skin, and Chick & Cone. Zabb on Ice is part of a new ice cream menu and there are exciting new drinks from Pepsi, which are only available at the show. The Festival also marks the return of the Colonel’s hot sauces, Chilli Sauce and Angry Hot Sauce, which go so well with Kentucky Fried Chicken, and are now on sale in bottles, in response to popular demand.
There are also fashion items for fried chicken fans exclusive to the event. KFC pulled out all the stops for a streetwear collection, ‘KFC Thailand 40th Year Original Collection’, for people to show off their distinctive selves: GQ-branded smart anti-stain KFC 40th Original Tee-shirts, The red KFC 40th Original Jacket, KFC Party Chicken Pants, in fashionable style emblazoned with crazy chicken pattern, KFC 40th Original Cap which goes with everything, KFC 40th Original Cross Bag, which is comfortable, chic and capacious, and three patterns of KFC Everyday Socks.
Surprise with the exclusive ‘KFC x BamBam Collection’ from Friend of KFC. This super-limited collection, co-created by BamBam, offers fans a chance to collect consisting of the BamBam hoodies and BamBam Griptoks phone holder with BamBam’s image and a inner mirror.
A range of exclusive activities are available for every fan who has supported KFC throughout its 40 years. The Colonel has laid on a number of ‘40th Exclusive Moments’ for his chicken-obsessed urban fans, such as KENTUCKY CITIZEN ID creating a distinctive avatar, KENTUCKY BUCKET 360 YOUR BEST SELF to show off your 360-degree cool on social media with a giant rotating bucket studio, and just before you dive into the Finger Lickin’ Good chicken, KENTUCKY NAIL SERVICE by BUCKET SEARCH, provided by a team of expert nail artists from the Bucket Search program, and the unmissable KENTUCKY VR GAME offering a fun VR experience together with prizes to win.
The Colonel invades Thailand for an exclusive celebration! KFC has taken over Out of Home media in commercial districts and transportation hubs at 277 locations, and 2,700 billboards all over Bangkok, which includes LED billboards at Bangkok locations such as centralwOrld, MBK Center, Victory Monument, 18 train stations on the MRT Blue Line, and 26 stations on the BTS Sukhumvit Line and Silom Line. There are even ads on the back of 10 tuk-tuks, the symbol of Thailand’s soft power. These will run in various districts of Bangkok from the front of Samyan Mitrtown on 9 June, 2024, to invite the chicken-crazy public to Kentucky Town Bangkok.
Meeting Thailand’s first Friend of KFC, exclusive at this event! BamBam Kunpimook, the first Friend of KFC in Thailand also joined the Kentucky Town Bangkok pop-up store for a meet and greet with his fans at ‘KFC x BamBam Exclusive Moment at Kentucky Town’, which was full of impressive moments. Crowds of people excitedly thronged Samyan Mitrtown and the hashtag #KFCxBamBam was top-trending on X, with over 1 million Tweets, perhaps the greatest case of chicken fever ever!
