Los Angeles, CA, June 27, 2024 — JOJX filmmaker Oliver Würffell takes home five Cannes Lions for his work directing Anzen Health’s “855-HOW-TO-QUIT-(OPIOIDS)” campaign, promoting the health organization’s helpline to support people who are addicted to opioids. Würffell’s film earned a Gold in the Design, Brand Building, Design-Driven Effectiveness category; Silver in Outdoor, Culture & Context, Social Behaviour & Cultural Insight; Bronze in Media, Channels, Use of Audio Platforms; Bronze in Direct, Excellence in Direct, Art Direction/Design; and Bronze in Design, Digital & Interactive Design, Digital Design.
Würffell’s direction tells a hopeful story about the split-second decision between using and asking for help through beautiful visuals, nuanced emotional performances, and fly-on-the-wall camera work. Würffell’s previous Cannes Lions wins include a 2015 film for VANGARDIST Magazine, tracing their social activation to end the stigma around HIV. Throughout his career, Würffell’s use of elevated imagery and his persistent love and curiosity for human nature led him to many high-end brand collaborations, including Audi, Cadillac, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Land Rover, Rimowa, RedBull, Sony, and Converse.
