- Designed and developed one more year by professionals from the different agencies of the Havas group, both inside and outside the group.
Madrid, June 28, 2024. Today marks the International LGTBIQA+ Pride Day, and Havas joins the celebration with the launch of a new multi-target campaign aimed at educating and raising awareness about all gender and sexual identities in a friendly and approachable manner, under the slogan “If you don’t name me, I’m not here.”
The campaign builds on last year’s “I’m Not Here,” which promoted the inclusion of the LGTBIQA+ community in marketing and communication. This project was supported by various associations advocating for the rights of the community, such as REDI, to which Havas belongs, as well as organizations related to the advertising sector.
This year’s campaign, “If you don’t name me, I’m not here,” promotes the development of a glossary titled “Spanish from L to +,” based on the official UN glossary. It includes all necessary definitions to understand everything related to the community, from concepts about sexuality to gender identity. This set of definitions aims to familiarize the general population and industry professionals with terms that might be less known, helping to increase awareness, visibility, and recognition of people who do not identify with traditional roles and genders in today’s multicultural and diverse societies.
Additionally, the campaign features collaboration with well-known social media content creators like Benja Serra and Susana Reyes. Through a series of videos and snippets on their Instagram channels, they will explain various concepts and identities to group professionals and the general public in a relatable tone, while emphasizing the importance of this topic.
The “If you don’t name me, I’m not here” campaign will be physically displayed in the Havas Villages, the communication group’s headquarters, through the installation of posters, vinyl, and various audiovisual materials. The graphics include a QR code that provides access to the glossary. Another action will be the distribution of a workbook in the Havas Villages, allowing company members to solidify their knowledge with simple exercises.
Developed by professionals from various Havas group agencies, both within and outside the community, the campaign advocates for the full recognition of sexual freedom and gender identity without discrimination, as well as promoting tolerance and respect for any life choice, free from prejudice.
Enrique Escalante, Head of People & Talent at Havas Spain, stated: “We frame this campaign within Havas’s purpose of driving positive change in society through the power of creative ideas and communication. In 2023, we took a significant step forward with ‘I’m Not Here,’ and this year we continue advancing in that direction for diversity and inclusion with this new campaign. We aim to inform, educate, and raise awareness, not only within the communication and advertising sector but also among the general population. We are especially proud because, like last year, the work was done by volunteers from our company who have shown great commitment and professionalism. We hope it will help us continue progressing toward the society we all want.”
Havas plans to extend the concept of this campaign throughout this year and next, promoting various initiatives in its commitment to real and effective equality for all individuals.
