June 27, 2024 — BUCK, a leading global design company, today announced its certification as a B Corporation™ (B Corp™). The B Corp certification underscores BUCK’s long-standing goal to deliver best-in-class creative while fostering a sustainable creative culture for its people. The certification cements BUCK’s long-term commitment to purposeful work for positive impact on our planet, and was awarded in the year of the company’s twentieth anniversary.
In partnership with B Lab™, BUCK underwent a thorough evaluation that scrutinized the company’s operational practices. The resulting certification is assurance that BUCK meets high standards of social and environmental impact and is committed to accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement.
“BUCK’s B Corp certification is a demonstration of our values and our commitment to a sustainable creative culture that deeply cares for our people, and the world in which we live. Our clients can expect the same level of creativity and innovation we’ve built our reputation on alongside a public commitment to how we impact the people we work with and the planet we share.”
Emily Rickard, Chief Executive Officer, BUCK
“Just like the organic sticker on your fresh produce, the B Corp certification symbolizes care, consideration, and planning in every decision that BUCK makes. This certification further strengthens BUCK’s commitment to using business as a force for good for twenty years. I am committed to this global movement to design our collective futures with care. And I am confident that together, over 400 BUCKers will make meaningful advancements on our B Corp score year after year.”
Ben Langsfeld, Chief Design Officer, BUCK

Two significant milestones for the company, the B Corp certification and the twentieth anniversary, are moments for celebration. Established in 2004 with roots in motion design, BUCK is an industry leader that weaves art, design, strategy, and technology into powerful brand expressions across all modern surfaces.
Since 2020, BUCK has donated $175,754.55 to over 20 organizations representing social justice, environmentalism, and arts education. One of the methods of contribution is through GOODS by BUCK, a platform and digital storefront for BUCK artists to create products and art objects made to look good and do better, with proceeds benefiting a variety of nonprofits. BUCK also contributes creatively to a variety of mission-driven organizations and non-profits through pro- and low-bono projects. In 2023, BUCK collaborated on:
- 2×4 Foundation, branding and identity design for a foundation that connects donors to organizations working to better the lives of women in America.
- Keti Koti, a self-directed social justice awareness campaign commemorating the abolition of slavery in the Netherlands. The program was created in collaboration with the University of Amsterdam and proceeds from sales were donated to the Black Archives.
- Kurzgesagt, website design for an organization committed to sparking curiosity of a science-based, humanist, and optimistic worldview.

In 2023, BUCK opened a new global headquarters in Los Angeles with LEED Gold certification for its green building standards. The 48,000 sq ft studio spans 4 floors of flexible work, play, and collaborative spaces for 150+ BUCKers, creative partners, and clients and works to embody the healthy and efficient spaces we wish for our talent to work in harmony with our planet. This commitment to sustainability works in concert with proactively cultivating expert partners, like Transportation Alternatives and how we crafted their launch video for the Spatial Equity NYC Tool. By being intentional in our choices of work environment and collaborators, we keep sustainability in mind for both the spaces we choose to work and the work we choose to do. BUCK also engaged environmental management consultant Brightest to conduct a thorough carbon emissions study for 2023. With this data in place, we are equipped to make YoY reductions in their carbon footprint.
BUCK’s new global headquarters at 120 S San Pedro Street, Los Angeles, CA achieved LEED Gold certification.
Recently, BUCK created Residence, a network to champion best-in-class work while empowering the community that makes it possible. The nine companies currently in Residence include a mix of creative companies, community-focused organizations, and media platforms.
