Zixi and Ateme Deepen Strategic Alliance to Accelerate Hybrid IP Workflows, Premium Live Delivery and Cloud Migration

WALTHAM, MA and PARIS, France, 1 September, 2026– Zixi and Ateme today announced an expanded strategic partnership to help broadcasters and content owners accelerate the transition from satellite to resilient IP and cloud-based workflows. By combining Zixi’s software-defined transport platform with Ateme’s video processing and delivery solutions, the companies are evolving their long-standing relationship into a jointly engineered, co-marketed collaboration focused on premium live event contribution and distribution.

As broadcasters and content owners face rising satellite costs, shrinking transponder availability, and mounting pressure to deliver premium live experiences at scale, the combination of Ateme’s encoding efficiency and Zixi’s reliable, protocol-agnostic IP transport layer gives customers a proven, end-to-end alternative that spans contribution, distribution, and delivery across on-premises, hybrid, and fully cloud environments.

“This is a shift from selling alongside each other to building solutions together,” said Marc Aldrich, CEO, Zixi. “Our customers don’t want two vendors and two roadmaps. They want one integrated workflow they can trust for their most important live moments. By aligning our engineering, our go-to-market, and our commercial models with Ateme, we’re removing friction and giving the market a clear, resilient path off legacy satellite and into the cloud.”

Rather than forcing a disruptive rip-and-replace, the joint solution lets broadcasters augment existing satellite infrastructure with managed IP paths, improving resiliency, adding capacity, and reducing distribution cost. Ateme’s bandwidth-efficient encoding paired with Zixi’s error-corrected, multi-path transport delivers broadcast-grade reliability over commodity networks, giving operators a low-risk on-ramp to a hybrid satellite-plus-IP model.

For live sports and premium live programming, the partnership targets the two things that matter most: quality and reliability under real-world network conditions. The combined workflow supports low-latency contribution and distribution at scale, so producers can move high-value live feeds with confidence and consistency across any distance or destination.

“Zixi and Ateme share a commitment to openness and flexibility that help customer evolve their workflows without disruption” said Julien Mandel, Senior Solution Director for Contribution and Distribution at Ateme. “Pairing Ateme’s industry leading encoding efficiency with Zixi’s transport, we’re helping customers improve quality, optimize bandwidth, and transition from satellite to resilient IP workflows at their own pace.”

As the industry shifts from capital-intensive hardware to flexible, software-defined and cloud-native operations, the two companies are aligning their technology and solution strategies to give customers a single, coherent migration path. Together, Zixi and Ateme help teams move contribution, processing, and delivery workflows into the cloud incrementally, preserving quality and operational control while unlocking elasticity and lower total cost of ownership.

Central to the announcement is a redefined commercial relationship. Moving beyond a transactional, vendor-based arrangement, Zixi and Ateme are establishing a joint go-to-market approach that includes coordinated solution engineering, aligned account planning, co-selling, and shared reference architectures. The result is a partner-driven engagement model, one that simplifies procurement, accelerates deployment, and gives customers a single, accountable solution rather than a collection of point products.

The companies will showcase joint solutions at IBC 2026, RAI Amsterdam, September 11 to 14 in Hall 5 on the Zixi stand (5.A76) and in Hall 1 on the Ateme stand (1.D55).
