NEW YORK — There may be no two greater symbols of connection than a table and a soccer pitch. One has brought people together for centuries. The other has united nations for generations.
Last week, the two came together at a record-breaking brand experience: The World Table. Created by Los Angeles-based creative agency Wolfgang and Teremana® Tequila, the activation set the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest foosball table while bringing fans from across the globe together.
On July 11th, at Brooklyn Navy Yard in New York City, fans gathered around a custom-built 525-foot foosball table, with bespoke artwork representing 48 different nations, to play one epic match. More than a feat of engineering, The World Table brought more than 500 strangers together as teammates, creating one shared moment that proved that connection is bigger than competition.
The experience is a continuation of Teremana’s brand platform, “Share the Table. Share the Mana.”
“Tables have a kind of magnetism. They pull people together,” said Mike Van Linda, Executive Creative Director at Wolfgang. “That’s true throughout history, and it’s still true today. Every four years, soccer does the same thing on a global scale. We wanted to bring those worlds together and give people a one-of-a-kind shared experience that just happened to break a world record along the way.”
Throughout the day, attendees played on the record-breaking table, customized jerseys inspired by the participating nations, collected personalized player cards, captured the moment at custom photo installations, and enjoyed Teremana cocktails. Actor Jay Pharoah and ESPN’s Laura Rutledge kept the energy high with live commentary and fan interviews.
At the heart of the experience is Teremana’s philosophy of Mana—the belief that good energy becomes more powerful when it’s shared. The World Table turned that philosophy into something tangible, inviting people from different backgrounds to gather around one epic table to create a shared moment in history.
For Wolfgang, The World Table reflects the agency’s belief that the most memorable brand experiences create genuine human connection, not just attention.
