VIDA Brings AI Scene-Level Search to Media Archives, Ending the Era of Manual Logging

London, UK, July 30, 2026 – VIDA, the secure cloud-native media asset management system,  today launched Scene Search, an offline AI-powered indexing capability that lets teams search inside their video libraries at the moment level, without depending on metadata that was manually logged years ago, if at all.

The industry problem is expensive and getting worse. Media libraries are growing faster than teams can manually log them. Finding a specific moment has traditionally depended on what was tagged or logged when content was first ingested. As archives expand, that approach becomes increasingly difficult to maintain.

Scene Search changes this. Discoverability is no longer dependent on what was manually logged. Instead, the content itself becomes searchable, allowing teams to locate relevant scenes regardless of how complete the existing metadata may be.

“Incredible moments exist in your library. Surfacing it is the problem,” said Symon Roue, Managing Director at VIDA. “Imagine someone who has watched every minute of your archive, and remembers all of it. Scene Search makes the content itself searchable, so discoverability no longer depends on what was tagged when an asset first entered the library.”

Scene Search indexes existing video libraries and returns results at the scene level. Each result connects directly to the asset management, rights and delivery workflows already running inside VIDA Content OS. Teams can:

  • Search inside the content itself rather than relying solely on manually entered metadata.
  • Use natural language search to locate specific moments within longer instead of searching files.
  • Move directly from scene-level search results into existing rights and delivery workflows without switching systems.

Scene Search is designed for the realities of large media libraries. Content arrives faster than it can be manually logged. Archives grow faster than metadata can be maintained, and teams need answers quickly.

By making the content itself searchable, Scene Search helps organizations unlock the value of the content they already own. It makes it easier to discover, reuse and manage media at scale.

Scene Search is available now as part of VIDA Content OS. Organizations can request a demo to see how Scene Search indexes existing libraries and connects scene-level search to the asset management, rights and delivery workflows already running within VIDA Content OS.

VIDA will be exhibiting at IBC 2026 in Hall 5, stand 5.856. Contact hello@vida.studio to book a meeting.
