Mumbai, India — Acclaimed filmmaker and actor Titus Upputuru’s latest short film, The Midnight Therapist, has been officially selected by the New York Indie Shorts Awards, an international platform that celebrates excellence in short-form filmmaking and recognizes outstanding cinematic craft from around the world.

The selection marks another significant milestone in the film’s growing international festival journey and reinforces Upputuru’s reputation as a storyteller whose work resonates across cultures and geographies.

The Midnight Therapist is a dark, emotionally charged drama that unfolds through the accidental meeting of two men on a fateful night. The film is a psychological drama that explores the power of human connection.
The film is elevated by its haunting musical score by Micu Patel and deeply authentic performances by Titus Upputuru and Keshav Bhardwaj, whose nuanced portrayals lend emotional depth and realism to the story’s grim yet ultimately humane themes. The moody and bold atmosphere has been created by the cinematography of Shakil Rehan Khan.
Produced by ADSCII and Edworld INC, The Midnight Therapist is scheduled for release in India later this year following its international festival run.
Speaking on the selection, Titus Upputuru said:

I am really grateful to God for this honour.”
