May 28th, the winning duo of the first edition of the young creatives competition organized by Ágora was revealed. Ágora is an educational initiative co-founded by Eduardo Chiriboga and Santiago Rentería, in collaboration with the prestigious London International Awards (LIA).
Founded by Barbara Levy, LIA is one of the most influential festivals in the creative industry. Since 1986, it has celebrated outstanding ideas in advertising, design, music, innovation, technology, and more.
This challenge, held for the first time in Ecuador, aimed to promote and showcase the talent of the country’s new generation of advertising creatives. It was conducted virtually and consisted of solving a brief within 48 hours. The creative challenge focused on the eradication of polio: each participating duo had to formulate an original idea to motivate more people, brands, or governments to donate to the cause.
First place went to Dominique Josseth Romero and María Gracia Mancheno with the campaign “Don’t Hang Up Yet.” Their proposal was evaluated by a jury of Ecuadorian experts with international experience, along with guest judges from Finland and the Philippines. As winners, the Ecuadorian duo earned a spot to represent the country in the Creative LIAisons program, promoted by the same festival, which will allow them to access one-on-one virtual mentorships with leading figures in the global advertising industry.

Second place was awarded to Jeshua Quimí and Suzzane Soria with the campaign “Guilt Free Gossip”, while third place went to Cristina Alvear and Ana Lucía del Hierro with “The Sweetest Vax.”
This is just the beginning of a series of initiatives that Ágora plans to launch, with the goal of creating educational spaces that strengthen the talent and professional growth of new creative generations.
