December 2025 – The film ‘Tainá and the Guardians of the Forest – In Search of the Blue Arrow’ , a Brazilian animated feature film, arrives in theaters across the country on December 25th with all songs composed by Cezar Brandão , associate producer of the sound production company Blood Audio . There are five original songs, created especially for the film, performed by different voices. Among them, the highlight is the singer Fafá de Belém, who also voices one of the characters.
The main original voice cast of ‘Tainá and the Guardians of the Forest – In Search of the Blue Arrow’ includes Juliana Nascimento (Tainá), Caio Guarnieri (Catu), Yuri Chesman (Pepe), Laura Chasseraux (Suri), Fafá de Belém (Mestra Aí), and Reginaldo Primo (Jaime Bifão). Produced by Sincrocine Produções, in co-production with Tietê Produções, the film is directed by Alê Camargo and Jordan Nugem, with a screenplay by Gustavo Colombo, and distributed by Paris Filmes, with co-distribution by RioFilme.
For Cezar Brandão, composing the songs for the film was a very enjoyable challenge. “Being able to set this cause and this need for nature preservation, specifically the Amazon Rainforest, to music made me feel very fulfilled as a human being and as a professional,” says the composer. “You know that moment when you’re creating and a phrase comes to you that gives meaning to everything and you smile and say: that’s it, I found it! It’s a magical moment and that happened with the song that Fafá sings (Today’s Tree Was Once a Little Seed).”
The composer and associate producer at Blood Audio adds: “That’s it! It all starts with a little seed that we need to plant, nurture, and respect. And this applies to everything: respect for nature, maturation… We live in such an immediate moment and forget that there are things you need to be patient with and respect the time needed. To learn before you are,” Cezar concludes.
The songs are ‘Today’s Tree – Part 1’ and ‘Today’s Tree – Part 2’, performed by Fafá de Belém; ‘The Day Is Coming’, sung by Juliana Nascimento; ‘Jaime Bifão’, sung by Reginaldo Primo; ‘Who Said?’, which unites the voices of Yuri Chesman (who plays the character Pepe), Laura Chasseraux (Suri), Caio Guarnieri (Catu) and Juliana Nascimento (Tainá).
About the film
How do you save a forest from villains who insist on deforesting, burning trees, and harming animals? Shout loudly: “Cru Cru!”, and soon a fun-loving group of guardians will come to help you. In the new animated feature ‘Tainá and the Guardians of the Forest – In Search of the Blue Arrow’, the audience follows the humorous and loving adventure of the character Tainá (voiced by Juliana Nascimento), as she learns to become a guardian, with the precious help of a wise sloth – Master Aí, played by singer Fafá de Belém.
The film marks the return of this character who, since the 2000s, has taught generations of children throughout Brazil to love and preserve the environment. Besides discovering who Tainá’s mentor was, the one who taught her to love Brazilian flora and fauna, the audience will follow the beginning of her beautiful friendship with Catu, a mischievous little monkey; Pepe, the wise king vulture; and the charming hedgehog Suri. The entire journey of this group until they become “Guardians of the Amazon,” always ready to help the animals, protect and care for the forest, is in this adventure. The tension is high because of a villain, Jaime Bifão, and his very evil tractor, who will give the guardians a hard time.
Tainá embarks on a new and unforgettable adventure. Together with the ancient and wise sloth Master Aí, she trains to become a Guardian of the Amazon. But, upon losing the ancient and magical Blue Arrow, which guides those destined to be one of the “Guardians of the Amazon,” Tainá puts her training and even the forest at risk. Throughout this adventure to try and recover the Blue Arrow, Tainá meets her inseparable friends: Catu, the mischievous little monkey; Pepe, the wise king vulture; and the charming hedgehog Suri. Together, they will become the guardians, always ready to help the animals, protect and care for the forest.
So different from each other, they will have to learn to overcome their differences and value friendship to form a team and accomplish the mission: to find the Blue Arrow and prevent a great evil – the terrible Jurupari – from burning the forest and destroying the entire Amazon. This time all the animals are in danger!
Voices from Northern Brazil
The choice of Juliana Nascimento and Fafá de Belém as the voices of Tainá and her mentor, Mestre Ai, respectively, brings representation from the North of the country to the project. Both are from Pará. “There was a concern to respect the language. Originally, the character Tainá, in the live-action films, was always played by actresses from the North. When the possibility arose of Fafá de Belém voicing the character’s mentor, it was great, because it’s about identity, about her being from the North, and also because it’s a musical film,” says Alê Camargo. For him, it was important that the person voicing the mentor could sing, and with Fafá this was resolved perfectly: “she has a wonderful voice and is an incredible person.”
