NEW YORK – April 22, 2026 – The Charles Group today announced that it has appointed industry veteran Woody Wright as its first Global Business Director, a newly created role that reflects a more integrated approach to growth, uniting client leadership and new business development under a single mandate. Wright will report directly to CEO Aaron Edwards.

In this unique role, Wright will serve as a central point of client leadership while also leading the agency’s new business development efforts, including identifying opportunities to organically grow existing engagements. Reflecting a more integrated approach to growth, Wright will bridge traditional account and business development functions, ensuring that the vision and ideas that resonate with prospects carry through to execution once they become clients. He will play an active role in guiding both the strategic and creative direction of key engagements.

Wright will work closely with the agency’s founding partners across creative, operations and finance to drive both commercial growth and the continued evolution of the agency’s work.

“A lot of agencies separate client leadership from growth, but we see them as inextricably linked — we only succeed when we’re doing both well,” said Aaron Edwards, CEO and Co-Founder of The Charles Group. “We’ve built this business by overdelivering on the very ideas that won us the business in the first place. Woody brings that rare combination of skills, ensuring that once we bring a client on, everything we do on their behalf is strategic, creative and impactful. We’re excited to have him join the team at this pivotal moment of rapid expansion for our agency.”

Woody brings over 15 years of experience building and scaling brands at critical moments of growth to his new role. Most recently, he served as Director of Global Brand at Back Market, a global online marketplace for refurbished electronics, where he led the evolution of the company’s brand strategy during a period of rapid international expansion. His work integrated brand and performance marketing, delivering full-funnel impact through 360 campaigns, content and partnerships that challenged category norms and shifted consumer perception.

Prior to Back Market, Woody spent nearly a decade at SWAT by Kirshenbaum, where he led account management and brand strategy across a diverse portfolio of clients including Wheels Up, Goldman Sachs, Delos, EleVen by Venus Williams and Furtuna Skin. He began his career at Saatchi & Saatchi.

“The Charles Group is at a critical moment in its journey, bringing an increasing number of coveted brands into its fold,” said Woody Wright, Global Business Director at The Charles Group. “At this stage, it’s about sharpening what makes the agency different and consistently delivering work that truly moves the needle for clients. I’m energized and excited to play a central role in helping drive both efforts forward.”
