GAIN has promoted its Client Success Director, Tanya Smith, to Business Development Director of GAIN Creative Studios.
In her new role, Smith will lead agency growth across brand, design and social, with a focus on driving new business, strengthening senior client partnerships, and shaping effective, commercially robust ways of working.
Smith’s new appointment will also see her representing GAIN externally, and contributing to leadership strategies on culture, collaboration and client excellence. She reports to CEO Jennifer Black, effective immediately.
Her task as Business Development Director is to build on the skills she has honed at GAIN since joining as a Group Account Director in 2019, before being promoted to Client Success Director in 2024. As Client Director, Smith spearheaded GAIN’s B2B offering and led key accounts including BT, Direct Line, Nike and Experian.
The agency’s clients also include Ericsson, Loop, Barbour and Nike.
GAIN Creative Studios CEO Jennifer Black says: “A driving force behind our growth, Tanya has elevated key client accounts and become an invaluable partner in building momentum across the business, stepping into this pivotal role is a natural next step for her as an agency powerhouse.”
Tanya Smith, Business Development Director at GAIN Creative Studios, said: “Since Jennifer joined last year, the agency has really taken off. I’m excited to play an even bigger role as we continue to drive the business forward. It’s a great opportunity to help shape the next chapter of our growth.”
The agency’s restructure in 2025 saw Sideshow Group rebranded as GAIN, bringing its 11 brands under one name. The rebrand included a restructure of the group into five business units: Conversion, Creative Studios, Customer Science, Experience, and Performance.
