Close to 10,000 males will be diagnosed with testicular cancer in the United States this year. With the rates of testicular cancer on the rise, it’s more important than ever to know how to perform a proper testicular cancer self-exam – many don’t know where to start.
That’s why in honor of Men’s Health Awareness Month (November) Neon, an IPG Health Company, teamed up with Testicular Cancer Foundation (TCF), a leading organization supporting men affected by testicular cancer, to create Stressticles, a stigma- free tool that teaches people how to effectively conduct an exam.
Currently available for purchase and for a limited time on TCF’s website (https://testicularcancer.org/stressticles/), Stressticles are an easy-to-use kit that, once built, feel like real testicles and include one that’s healthy and one with an early-stage tumor. The supporting campaign video was built to catch attention and leans into the cunning humor of “grabbing cancer by the balls,” making the topic impossible to ignore. The kits are meant not just for individuals with testicles, but for “anyone who interacts with them.” Testicular cancer is 99% beatable if caught at Stage 1. Stressticles are turning what could be an awkward topic, into something you can get a feel for.
I’d be happy to set up time for you to speak with Kevin Williams, Group Creative Director at Neon to chat about the campaign along with one of the executives from TCF to share their own personal stories and why Stressticles (and their work at large) are key to making change and driving awareness.
