Spin Hires George David as Group Commercial Director

Spin, the award-winning social media agency, has announced the appointment of George David as Group Commercial Director. In his new role, George will lead Spin’s commercial strategy, drive revenue growth, and deepen client partnerships across the agency’s growing portfolio.

George joins Spin from Wilderness, the social media agency acquired by Havas, where he was Head of Growth. Prior to that, he held the position of European Business Development Manager at Anomaly, the global advertising agency. His career reflects a consistent track record of building commercial functions and driving growth at some of the most respected names in the industry.

Reporting directly to Co-Founder Max Whicher, George will be responsible for developing new business and shaping the commercial direction of the agency’s portfolio including Spin, YouTube specialists Be A Bear and production house Tiny Studios as it continues to grow globally.

This launch comes off the back of a string of recent successes, including competitive pitch wins for Fortnum & Mason, Five Guys and National Rail, and the retention of clients including Paramount, Channel 5 and Instax.

Spin was crowned ‘Social Media Agency of the Year’ at last year’s Europe Agency Awards and highly commended at The Drum Awards for Agency of the Year. With 80+ people globally, Spin continues to scale with momentum and purpose and has recently launched in the APAC region.
