The highly anticipated SkyShowtime Original Series End of Summer will come to the platform on 26 December and will have its exclusive Nordic premiere at Stockholm International Film Festival on 11 November
End of Summer is based on the first book in Anders de la Motte’s popular book series Seasons Quartet
The series stars Julia Ragnarsson and Erik Enge as leads, with Simon J. Berger, Torkel Petersson and Vilhelm Blomgren in key supporting roles
Stockholm International Film Festival and streaming partner SkyShowtime are proud to announce that End of Summer will have its exclusive Nordic premiere screening at this year’s festival. The festival will screen the first two episodes of the series at Bio Skandia on 11 November.
The six-part series stars Kristallen®-nominated Julia Ragnarsson (Two Sisters, Spring River) and Guldbagge®-nominated Erik Enge (Tigers, Black Crab), Simon J. Berger (Exit, Modus), Torkel Petersson (Kopps, Off Track) and Vilhelm Blomgren (Clark, Midsummer). They are joined by Ellen Nikka, Lars Schilken, Linus James Nilsson, Akay Jasarovski, Henrik Norlén and Ida Gyllensten.
End of Summer is created by Björn Carlström and Stefan Thunberg and produced by Per Janérus for Harmonica Films in co-production with Film i Skåne and SF Studios. Executive producers are Anders de la Motte, Jens Jonsson, Tim King, Joakim Rang Strand, Sara Askelöf, Camilla Rydbacken and Helena Larand. The seriesis directed by Jens Jonsson (Young Wallander, The Hunters) and Henrik Georgsson (The Bridge, The Man Who Played with Fire).
Tickets for the exclusive red-carpet screening 11 November at Stockholm International Film Festival will be released today 9 October via stockholmfilmfestival.se.
Stockholm International Film Festival runs from 6-17 November 2024 and more films will be released continuously throughout the autumn.
