Austin-based creative agency Bakery announces the appointment of Alisa Sengel Wixom as the agency’s first-ever Executive Creative Director. In the role, Sengel will collaborate closely with Bakery’s leadership team to build on the agency’s award-winning creative work and to foster its diverse culture. This will include setting the creative vision for the agency’s impressive roster of clients, which includes Diageo, DeLorean Motors, Nike and Shiner, among other brands.
“We’ve built Bakery to be a creative home for hungry people. Alisa fits the rare mold of a skilled veteran leader who is hungrier than ever to make great work. We’re beyond excited that she’s joining our team,” said Micky Ogando, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at Bakery. “We’ve experienced significant growth over the past year, and Alisa is the perfect person to not only help us continue in our ambitions, but to push for even more amazing work for our clients.”
Bakery’s leadership took over a year to identify this new recruit, speaking to more than 60 different people before selecting their new ECD. A seven-time Cannes Lions winner, Alisa has held key roles at Dentsu, TBWA/ Chiat Day, Goodby, Silverstein & Partners, Fallon, and BBH New York, working on award-winning campaigns for Budweiser, Levi’s, Skittles and Jameson Whiskey. She also received an Emmy Award nomination for her work with Absolut Vodka.
“I am thrilled to join an agency that’s built its reputation for impactful creative work that doesn’t fit neatly into a box,” said Sengel. “Micky and the team have done an amazing job creating something special in Austin from scratch, as industry outsiders, and I can’t wait to dive headfirst into the many opportunities they’ve set themselves up with.”
Sengal will report directly to Bakery Founder/CCO Micky Ogando.
