Jacksonville, FL – (April 9, 2025) – Creative and production studio TigerLily announces the addition of producer Ruth Simpson. She brings a decade of sales and service-based experience within the hospitality, event planning, and real estate industries. At TigerLily, Simpson has already been involved in the production of several projects for clients such as Advance Auto Parts, VyStar Credit Union, and Goodwill.
“Ruth is the rare kind of person who, after just one lunch together, you know you can confidently ease into a room full of clients,” says Gina Fallon, TigerLily SVP of Production, who was first connected to Simpson during their time in the event planning industry. “She naturally connects with people and is incredibly thoughtful in her approach to absorbing knowledge and problem-solving. As someone whose path to our industry has been a bit unconventional, she brings a fresh perspective to the way we work. It all sounds simple, but it’s actually more like finding a unicorn.”
“At TigerLily – and in life – my goal is to always keep growing and adding value in everything I do,” adds Simpson. “I’m fortunate to be surrounded by an amazing team that shares its knowledge with me. It’s a small but mighty creative family where every voice is heard and appreciated. The skills I’ve gained along my career are a great fit for my new role at TigerLily.”
A longtime resident of Jacksonville, Florida, Simpson earned a Communication and Media Studies degree from the University of North Florida. She launched her career in the events industry at The Perfect Pear, then transitioned to Mai Oui Gourmet. At the latter, she spearheaded the rebrand of the company’s online presence, which included marketing collateral and owned content for social media. Simpson also handled sales, client development, and event coordination.
She next joined Catering by Liz, producing large-scale luxury events for clients such as Black Knight Financial, Porsche, The Florida Theater, The University of North Florida, and Regency Centers. It was here that Simpson first crossed paths with Fallon, who was the Sales Manager before Simpson replaced her, as Fallon went on to launch her own event planning company, Revelry, for Fortune 500 companies.
When the pandemic decimated the events industry, Simpson took this as a sign to try something new. She earned her real estate license and joined Watson Realty Corporation for the next five years, partnering with sellers, buyers, and investors in the Jacksonville area.
“Real estate seemed to put a lot of my skills to good use,” explains Simpson. “My clients were making some of the biggest purchases of their lives, and I enjoyed being their partner and making the process less stressful and more fun. This is much like my responsibilities as a producer – listening to the needs of my clients and team, figuring out how to make their jobs easier, and executing at a level of excellence.”
Outside of her professional achievements, Simpson is a mother to a special needs son and an avid reader, chef, theater performer, and arts supporter.
