This week R&R partners, the independent agency known for audacious work for Las Vegas, Brand USA, Discover Puerto Rico, and others, proudly announces the addition of Lauren Gary as Group Strategy Director. Gary joins R&R following four and a half years at Media Arts Lab, Apple’s bespoke creative agency, where she led strategy across some of the brand’s most culturally visible campaigns and platform initiatives. Her arrival marks the latest senior-level addition as R&R continues investing in top-tier creative and strategic talent across the agency.
Based in Los Angeles and reporting to EVP and Head of Strategy, Richard Oldfield, Lauren will help lead strategic development across the agency, bringing a background that spans brand strategy, entertainment, social marketing, and culture-first storytelling. Throughout her career, she has focused on helping brands like Netflix, Unilever, Apple TV, Apple Music, Nike, Bacardi, and Park MGM earn meaningful relevance in culture through work designed to resonate beyond advertising.
Most recently, Lauren served as Strategy Director for Apple at Media Arts Lab, where she led work including Apple TV’s rebrand and the widely celebrated “Someday” campaign directed by Spike Jonze and starring Pedro Pascal for AirPods. The campaign earned recognition at Cannes Lions with Silver in Film and Bronze in Social & Creator. She also contributed to Apple Music’s “100 Best Albums,” which earned a Cannes Lions Bronze in Digital Craft, and Apple TV’s “Call Me with Timothée Chalamet,” which received an Emmy nomination alongside multiple Webby Awards.
Prior to Media Arts Lab, Lauren was Senior Strategist at DreamCrew Entertainment and previously worked as Social Marketing Manager at ByteDance and Senior Engagement Strategist at Virtue Worldwide, giving her experience across entertainment, social platforms, and globally recognized consumer brands.
“Lauren understands how to build strategy that doesn’t just support creative work, but helps shape work people genuinely want to engage with and talk about,” said Richard Oldfield, EVP and Head of Strategy at R&R partners. “She brings a rare combination of cultural instinct, strategic rigor, and experience working on some of the most visible and creatively ambitious brands in the world. We’re excited to welcome her to R&R as we continue evolving the agency’s strategic offering.”
“I was drawn to R&R because of its independence, ambition, and willingness to approach problems differently,” said Lauren. “The agency has built a reputation for producing bold, culture-shaping work across categories, and it felt like a place where strategy can truly help unlock new creative possibilities. I’m excited to collaborate with teams across the agency and help build work that earns a meaningful place in people’s lives.”
Joining R&R from Los Angeles, Lauren begins her role effective immediately.
