June, 2026.- As part of the Cannes Lions 2026 Festival, Roastbrief organized a high-level panel at The Culture Village titled “Building The Next Generation Of Sports Fans,” addressing how sports organizations are leveraging the creator economy to connect with new generations of fans. The conversation focused on strategies to attract, convert, and retain younger audiences in an ever-evolving digital ecosystem.

The panel brought together a group of top-tier experts: Cesar Christoforidis, Founder of Gravana & Roastbrief Editor, served as host; Morgan James, renowned TV Presenter and TikTok Creator; Nengi Akinola, Head of Marketing at BetKing; Cynthia Kleinbaum Milner, CMO of GameChanger; and Mike Kent, Chief Content Creator and Co-Founder of Dexerto. Each contributed their perspective from different angles of the sports, entertainment, and digital marketing industries.

The panelists agreed that content creators have become the most effective bridge between sports brands and younger audiences. Authenticity, real-time storytelling, and the ability to build communities around teams and athletes are key factors in building a lasting relationship that transcends mere consumption of the sporting event. The debate underscored the need to rethink traditional engagement models and adopt a creator-culture-centric approach to ensure the future relevance of sports organizations.
