Reverie Content Signs Directing Duo CALL ME AL
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Los Angeles, CA, August 4, 2026 — CALL ME AL has joined Reverie Content’s roster of extraordinary directorial talent. The husband-and-wife directing duo, Phillip Montgomery and Alisa Allapach, met on the set of a commercial spot ten years ago. While collaborating on a pandemic-era Instagram film, The Things We Miss, Phillip and Alisa solidified their partnership, and CALL ME AL was born.

The name comes from Alisa’s father, Al Allapach. As a young boy in Bangkok, Al would grab the backs of tugboats crossing the Chao Phraya River to get across the city faster — like an Uber only more wet…and free. That resourcefulness is the spirit they channel on set (The Paul Simon of it all doesn’t hurt either).

Range is a throughline of CALL ME AL’s body of work, from gritty realism to composed fun; their aim is always to serve the story in an honest, beautiful, and cinematic fashion. An instinct Montgomery picked up as an opera student, where the rule was simple: it’s not about you; you’re there to serve the music. In their commercial work for Kia, Google, Uber, IBM, and The Home Depot, you quickly notice their ability to hit different tones within various stories.

On his own, Montgomery has earned a YDA and multiple Cannes Silver and Bronze Lions for commercial work, including campaigns for Uber, Deloitte, and The GRAMMYs “Play The City” NYC experience. He has directed for the History Channel — including Sitting Bull, produced by Leonardo DiCaprio, and The West, produced by and featuring Kevin Costner — as well as for Paramount+. His feature documentary debut, #ReGENERATION, produced and narrated by Ryan Gosling, premiered at the Seattle International Film Festival; his comedy short Big Boy Pants, starring Emmy nominee Finn Wittrock, was a Vimeo Staff Pick; and his dance-horror short Child of the Sky debuted at the New York Film Festival.

Allapach took a less conventional route. As a professional figure skater, she represented Thailand at the World Figure Skating Championships, then built an acting career working alongside some of the biggest names in Hollywood, including Clint Eastwood (The 15:17 to Paris) and Todd Phillips (The Hangover, War Dogs). Allapach’s time in front of the camera sharpened her instincts as a director working with actors, drawing out genuine, unforced performances – her goal is not just for the work to look good, but to have it land for the audience.

CALL ME AL and Reverie are already hitting the ground running, with their first project together, a campaign for The Home Depot and Google, set to launch in the fall.

CALL ME AL shares in a joint statement, “We’re entering this next phase as collaborators, knowing there is always room to grow. We believe in making things we’re all proud of. With the strategy and ethos Cathleen and Rich have built at Reverie, along with the talent on the roster, we have no doubt this is the team and surroundings we want to create in.”

Rich Pring, Co-Founder and EP at Reverie Content, elaborates, “Phil and Alisa have an innate ability to identify what’s needed to elevate a story – whether through camera movement, design, performance, or even emotion, heart, and levity. We’re excited to bring CALL ME AL’s voice to the world of creating with brands and filmmaking”

Reverie Content is a diverse family of filmmakers, collaborators, and artists who have a distinct voice and create with an ever-changing mindset. From film directors to photographers, writers, content creators, animators, and designers inside the Reverie studio – we craft ideas that shift perception.
