New York, NY – Today, leading independent creative agency Rethink announces the appointment of Brittney McDonald as the agency’s first-ever Head of Business Development. Based in New York, McDonald will drive growth across Rethink’s global network, supporting both net-new and organic opportunities across all offices and expert-led practice areas. She will report to Rethink Global COO Caleb Goodman.
In the newly created role, McDonald will focus on building a more unified and proactive growth engine across the network, ensuring Rethink’s expert practices across creative, public relations, design, and beyond are strategically connected and positioned to scale. As client needs become increasingly borderless, her mandate is to unlock collaboration and drive sustainable growth without compromising the independence and culture that define Rethink.
“Rethink has experienced extraordinary growth over the past few years, and with that comes the opportunity to be even more intentional about how we scale globally,” said Goodman. “Brittney brings a deep understanding of how to build meaningful partnerships across disciplines and markets, and she’ll play a critical role as we continue to expand and invest in our expert practice offerings.”
McDonald joins Rethink with more than a decade of experience leading growth initiatives across both global agency networks and founder-led ventures, helping organizations scale strategically while maintaining their culture. Most recently, she served as Managing Director of High Tide in New York, where she helped evolve the creative studio’s offering and build expansive brand partnerships. Previously, she held business development and growth leadership roles at FNDR, Phenomenon, Havas, and mcgarrybowen (now Dentsu).
She previously founded BLANK, which was dedicated to showcasing brands’ sustainability efforts and fostering conversations around carbon literacy to support long-term growth and impact for brands. In addition, she serves as a Board Advisor to ArtKorero, an art curation agency based in Dubai and London. McDonald joins as Rethink continues to strengthen its leadership team with the recent hire of Jon Legere as its first-ever Chief Production Officer.
“Rethink’s independence is its superpower,” said McDonald. “The agency has built an international reputation for creative excellence, and I’m excited to help connect practices with partners in ways that unlocks smart, ambitious growth. There’s a real opportunity to scale what makes Rethink special, globally.”
