Reddit Launches Max Campaigns Beta to Boost Ad Performance With AI-Powered Audience Insights

Reddit is home to millions of daily conversations that influence how people discover, evaluate, and connect with brands. In Q3 2025, Reddit’s Daily Active Uniques (DAUq) grew 19% year over year, while ad conversions on the platform more than doubled compared to the previous year. These signals underscore Reddit’s growing role as a performance-driven advertising platform.

To help advertisers reach the right audiences more efficiently—and with greater transparency—Reddit is introducing Max campaigns, a new automated campaign type now available in beta.

Powered by Reddit Community Intelligence™ and advanced AI that predicts the value of every ad impression, Max campaigns optimize campaign performance in real time while unlocking deeper creative and audience insights. Unlike automated solutions that obscure decision-making, Max campaigns are designed to open the black box, giving advertisers visibility into both performance and audience behavior.


AI-Driven Ad Performance With Less Manual Work

Max campaigns automate core campaign functions including:

  • Audience targeting
  • Creative selection and rotation
  • Placements
  • Budget allocation

At the same time, advertisers retain strategic control, allowing them to apply their expertise without constant manual optimization.

Reddit has been alpha testing Max campaigns with more than 600 advertisers across industries and business sizes. Early results demonstrate significant performance gains:

  • Brooks Running used a Max campaign to promote the launch of its Ghost 17 running shoe, achieving a 37% decrease in cost per click and 27% more clicks, without making any manual changes during the 21-day campaign.
  • Across split tests, advertisers saw an average 17% lower CPA and 27% more conversions compared to business-as-usual campaigns.

Faster Setup and AI-Generated Creative Tools

Beyond performance improvements, Max campaigns are designed to reduce complexity and setup time. Advertisers can optionally use built-in AI tools to generate Reddit-ready creative assets, including:

  • Headline suggestions that reflect trending Reddit language and tone
  • Thumbnail generation that adapts existing images to Reddit’s conversation-based placements

Reddit will soon introduce AI-powered video cropping, making it easier for advertisers to repurpose video assets from other platforms.


Unlocking the Black Box With AI-Powered Audience Insights

A key differentiator of Max campaigns is Top Audience Personas, a new reporting feature exclusive to this campaign type.

Using AI, Top Audience Personas clusters campaign audiences into meaningful segments—such as new parents or ambitious home cooks—and shows advertisers:

  • Which personas are viewing and engaging with their ads
  • What those personas are currently interested in

These insights combine campaign performance data with Reddit Community Intelligence™, which transforms over 23 billion posts and comments into structured signals. The result is a clearer understanding of how automated campaigns perform and why they resonate.

Max Campaigns Beta Launch and CES 2026 Presence

This week, Reddit is launching the Max campaigns beta for Traffic and Conversion objectives to select advertisers, with broader access rolling out over the coming months. Top Audience Persona reporting will become available in the coming weeks.

To create a Max campaign, advertisers can select Traffic or Conversions when setting up an Advanced Create campaign.

To kick off CES 2026, Reddit is also highlighting how authentic conversations drive discovery and cultural momentum at its Conversation Bar. Reddit’s CES HQ is located at Primrose 3, ARIA Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, and will be open:

  • January 6–7: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. (PST)
  • January 8: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (PST)
