Publicis Sapient Successfully Completes Next Stage of European DataWarehouse’s Digital Transformation

Helping EDW Become a UK Securitisation Repository under the Financial Conduct Authority

Frankfurt, February 2, 2022 — Publicis Sapient, a digital business transformation company, today announced the successful completion of the next stage of European DataWarehouse’s (EDW) digital transformation. The digital consultancy was instrumental in implementing the UK securitisation regulation of the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) onto the EDW platform. The platform architecture, designed by Publicis Sapient, was essential in meeting regulatory requirements. As a result, on January 17, 2022, FCA registered EDW as one of the first UK Securitisation Repositories. Following its FCA registration, EDW is able to strengthen its position as a leader in providing regulatory reporting solutions to the UK securitisation market. EDW was designated as a Securitisation Repository in the EU by ESMA in June 2021.

To further its digital transformation, EDW engaged Publicis Sapient to build a regulatory platform that allows for the compliant reporting of public and private securitisations in the EU. Publicis Sapient designed a scalable, multi-instance capable architecture, which enabled the smooth adaption of the platform according to the UK’s specific FCA regulatory requirements.  At its core, the platform leverages Microsoft’s Azure cloud big data service, ensuring real time processing, validation and storage of the securitisation-related billions of loan level data records, and it assesses the quality and completeness of the data.

European DataWarehouse (EDW) is a registered Securitisation Repository designated by the European Securities and Markets Authority as well as the Financial Conduct Authority. The company was established in 2012 as the Eurosystem’s first repository to facilitate the collection, validation, and download of standardised loan-level data (LLD) for asset-backed securities (ABS) and private loan portfolios. EDW stores loan-level data and corresponding documentation for investors and other market participants.
