National, 7th August, 2026: Popeyes®, the globally renowned Louisiana-born fried chicken brand, today announced the launch of ‘5 Bold Flavors of Paneer’, it’s largest-ever paneer burger range in India. Designed to strengthen the brand’s vegetarian portfolio, the new range brings together five distinct flavour experiences that combine Popeyes®’ signature bold taste with one of India’s most-loved ingredients.

India’s vegetarian food landscape continues to evolve beyond traditional choices, with consumers increasingly seeking greater variety, international flavours and indulgent experiences without compromising on familiarity. Paneer has long remained one of the country’s most preferred vegetarian ingredients, making it the ideal canvas for Popeyes® to bring its globally inspired flavour expertise to a wider audience.

The new range features Bold Paneer, Classic Paneer, American Mayo Paneer Burst, Habanero Paneer Burst and Korean Paneer Burst, making it one of the widest paneer burger portfolios offered by any QSR brand in the country. From classic comfort to globally inspired flavours, each burger has been crafted to deliver the bold taste experience that Popeyes® is known for while giving consumers more ways to enjoy paneer.

Speaking on the launch, Vibhor Gupta, EVP & Chief Business Officer, Popeyes® India, said, “At Popeyes®, we’ve always believed bold flavour should never be limited by choice. While we’re known for our iconic chicken, we also recognise that India’s vegetarian consumers are looking for the same excitement, variety and indulgence in their meals. Paneer is one of the country’s most loved ingredients, and with ‘5 Bold Flavors of Paneer’, we’re bringing together familiar comfort and globally inspired flavours in a way that sets us apart. This is our biggest paneer launch yet and an important step in building a stronger, more relevant vegetarian portfolio for Indian consumers.”

To bring the launch alive, Popeyes® has partnered with comedian Aakash Gupta, whose well-known love for paneer takes centre stage in the campaign. The digital-first campaign follows Aakash as he takes on Popeyes®’ challenge to discover whether the brand can truly deliver India’s boldest paneer burger experience. Supported by influencer collaborations and social media activations, the campaign aims to spark conversations around bold vegetarian flavours while reinforcing Popeyes®’ culture-forward approach to marketing.

At Popeyes®, bold flavour has always been at the heart of every innovation. With its biggest paneer launch, the brand continues to evolve its menu with offerings that celebrate India’s diverse food preferences while delivering the distinctive taste experience that has made Popeyes® a global favourite.
