Plumis, Ltd., the company behind Automist, a category-defining disruptor in residential fire sprinklers, today announced that it has named Team One its lead agency, responsible for driving integrated go-to market efforts, including communications and public relations, with a focus on accelerating U.S. market education, driving demand and establishing Automist as a new standard in residential fire protection.
The partnership reflects a challenge marketers are increasingly being asked to solve: how to build relevance and demand for an entirely new kind of product in a category that has seen little meaningful change for centuries. As smarter, more design-conscious home solutions gain traction, Automist is helping reframe fire protection as part of a broader conversation about how modern homes should function, perform and look.
Automist uses thermal imaging technology to detect fires in the home and deploy a targeted water mist at the source, minimizing property damage while using up to 90% less water than traditional sprinkler systems. The wall-mounted system integrates seamlessly into modern interiors while protecting prized art collections, family heirlooms, and sentimental belongings.
“At Plumis, we have always believed fire protection should do its job without asking homeowners to compromise the spaces they care about,” said Yusuf Muhammad, Chief Design Officer and Co-Founder of Plumis. “Automist brings together effective fire suppression, lower water use and a design approach suited to modern residential interiors. Team One brings the strategic rigor and creative ambition needed to help scale that impact and unlock our next stage of growth.”
