NEW YORK, NY — Peter Gannon, the noted music producer and music supervisor whose resume includes leading the music departments at such global agencies as Ogilvy, Wieden + Kennedy, and McCann Worldwide, has joined Invisible Art as Partner, Creative Director, and Music Supervisor. Gannon brings nearly 2 decades of award-winning music production expertise to the year-old boutique music company.
Invisible Art was launched in 2024 by film, TV, and advertising composers Craig DeLeon and Jonathan Sanford, who serve as Creative Directors, and Managing Director Kit Winter. The founders — longtime collaborators from their time at Human Music — created Invisible Art to offer a modern, boutique, Black-and-female-owned music company led by composers deeply engaged in the worlds of streaming, cinema, and advertising.
“With his agency experience and extraordinary music supervision skillset, Peter completes our 360-degree range in music for advertising,” says Sanford.
Adds Winter, “His experience being in the trenches agency side and working directly with brands is an invaluable skillset, so we jumped at the opportunity to bring him on as a partner but also a friend and trusted collaborator.”
Avant-Garde Classical Roots:
Gannon’s work is rooted in an avant-garde classical music conservatory education, combined with a career as a composer, sound designer, indie film music supervisor, and a decade-long run as a recording and touring artist for independent music label Beggars Banquet Records. This multidisciplinary background informs every collaboration he takes on.
Throughout his career, Gannon has helped shape music for major global brands on some of their most high-profile campaigns. This includes “music first” marketing campaigns with Billboard Charting original music for Chevy Silverado, SXSW Interactive Awards for Nature Valley, Super Bowl spots for Coca Cola, Heinz, Ford, Spectrum, and others. Peter’s work has been awarded at Cannes Lions, Clio, One Show, AICP, AMP, LIA, and Guild of Music Supervisors Awards.
In 2020, Peter launched his own music company, Halo Music & Sound, and now brings his experience and passion to Invisible Art.
“IA’s launch last year got my attention,” says Gannon. “Having my own boutique music company was a dream come true. My vision for Halo was to build a team with the caliber of talent, competency, and kindness of Craig, Jonathan, and Kit. When the opportunity came along to join IA, it was an easy decision.”
He adds, “To adapt and grow together, and keep the bar creatively high with IA, is a shared vision. This is a team of high-quality people doing high-quality work, and I hope to add to what they have already established.”
With Gannon on board, the leadership team now includes four veteran music makers who have collectively shaped some of the industry’s most celebrated work over the past two decades. Together, they form a powerhouse of creative vision and execution at the intersection of entertainment, advertising, and music.
DeLeon sums it up, “Peter’s arrival marks a defining moment for Invisible Art – bringing together shared values, decades of trust, and a collective commitment to doing meaningful, standout work at the highest level.”
Invisible Art is represented in the Midwest by The Cre8tors — the creative talent management and production consulting firm led by Dani Jackson-Smith and Jenny Lumpkin.
