Mumbai, August 2026: Pears, one of India’s most recognisable soap brands from Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), has unveiled Farak Clear Hai, its new television campaign. Conceptualised by TBWA\Lintas (part of Omnicom Advertising India), the campaign takes consumers inside the making of its iconic transparent amber bar.
For over two centuries, the transparency of the Pears bar has made it unmistakably distinctive. The new film goes behind that transparency to reveal the craftsmanship that creates it. Following the product’s transformation from a glycerin-rich liquid into its unique solid, transparent form. Through pouring, moulding, cutting and careful quality inspection, the film brings alive the people, precision and patience behind every Pears bar. Made with 98% pure plant-based glycerin, the signature see-through bar is not only the brand’s most recognisable asset, but also a visible expression of the quality, consistency, and craftsmanship that Pears has upheld across generations.
At the heart of the campaign is a simple brand truth: Pears has nothing to hide. The transparency of the bar is more than a distinctive product feature; it reflects the honesty and authenticity with which Pears has always shown up. By opening the doors to its factory, the brand makes that transparency tangible, allowing consumers to see the process and expertise behind the product for themselves.
Abhinav Ravikumar, CMO – Personal Care, Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), said, “Pears has always been recognised for the transparency of its iconic bar. Behind that distinctive form lies a highly considered process, refined through generations of expertise. With the Factory Film, we wanted to make that process visible and allow consumers to see the care, precision and consistency behind every Pears bar. The film brings to life how our commitment to quality and craftsmanship has created a product that has helped make Pears an iconic, loved brand for over two centuries.”
Sarvesh Raikar, President – Creative, TBWA\Lintas, added, “The transparent amber bar has always been Pears’ most powerful and distinctive asset. Rather than simply telling consumers what makes it different, we wanted to take them to where that difference is created. By opening the doors to the factory, the film allows the product and its making to tell the story – turning transparency from a visual feature into the central creative idea. The difference has always been there; now consumers can see how it is made. Farak Clear Hai.”
Now live across television and Pears’ digital platforms, Farak Clear Hai gives the brand’s heritage a contemporary role. By revealing the craftsmanship behind its iconic transparent bar, the film transforms over two centuries of expertise into visible proof of what has made Pears distinctive and trusted across generations.
