Brisbane, Australia (Wednesday, 15 April 2026) – OMD has today announced the appointment of Harry Jayaweera as Managing Partner, Brisbane.

Jayaweera rejoins OMD with over 15 years’ media experience across agency, sales and consulting, most recently as Managing Director of Carat NSW and dentsu X Sydney. Her career has been built on a strong foundation in data-led strategy and commercial performance, alongside a consistent focus on building high-performing, inclusive teams.

During her previous tenure with Omnicom Media, Jayaweera established and led the group’s national Diverse Media division, helping clients better connect with Australia’s diverse audiences through more inclusive and accountable media strategies.

Alison Costello, Managing Director of OMD Brisbane, said of the appointment; “We are incredibly excited to welcome Harry back to OMD. Harry brings an exceptional combination of strategic rigour, commercial leadership and humanity. She has a wonderful reputation both within OMD and across the industry for building and nurturing high-performing teams and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients. Being new to the Brisbane market, it has been impressive to see Harry quickly immerse herself in the nuances and culture of the local industry and close-knit community. With Brisbane entering a critical growth phase as we look ahead to the 2032 Olympics, I’m looking forward to partnering with Harry to create what’s next for our clients alongside the OMD team.”

Speaking on her appointment, Jayaweera added; “I’m excited to be returning to OMD and taking on the Managing Partner role in Brisbane. Having spent different stages of my career at Omnicom, this move feels both familiar and energising. The opportunity to call Queensland home at such a pivotal time for the state makes this role even more compelling. Under Alison’s leadership, I’m looking forward to working with the team to drive strong outcomes for our clients and shape the next phase of growth.”

Jayaweera’s appointment is effective immediately.
