The acclaimed all-day festival for brand leaders will host the world’s leading authorities from marketing, television and entertainment to banking, technology and politics to dissect one of the most complex issues of modern times – power – and its impact on consumer decisions.
This year’s powerhouse lineup include renowned CEO whisperer Professor Roger L. Martin, accredited as the world’s number one management thinker; top reality TV producer Maz Farrelly, who has collaborated with the likes of Beyoncé, King Charles and Donald Trump, and Dan Davies, who switched a high-flying career in investment banking into writing award-winning books about our complex economic systems.
Each speaker will explore the way power has become a conscious and subconscious part of consumer’s everyday lives. All unpacking society’s preoccupation with power, how it impacts relationships with brands, and providing counter intuitive insights on how CMOs can nurture their own potential to drive bottom line growth. More speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
Rory Sutherland, vice chairman Ogilvy UK: “The biggest problem we face today is not primarily about economics: it is that there are ten people with the power to say no for every person who has the power to say yes.”
Dan Bennett, head of behavioural science, Ogilvy Consulting UK: “CMOs – the most influential people in our industry – are unfairly becoming less powerful in leadership with a squeezed budget to play with. This year’s stirring theme, with an amazing lineup of speakers, is guaranteed to spark both fierce debate and career-changing learnings for our audience. Nudgestock will unpack the taboo topic of power, proving that it’s not something to be feared but to be used to our individual and collective advantage.”
Nudgestock is back for its 13th year and hosted by Rory Sutherland, vc of Ogilvy UK and founder of its celebrated behavioural science practice. Sutherland has written several books including the best-selling Alchemy: The Power of Ideas That Don’t Make Sense, has become a TikTok sensation and features regularly on popular podcasts, including Stephen Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO, Jamie Laing’s Great Company, and Rick Reubens Tetragrammaton.
Nudgestock takes place on the 27th June at the Old Truman Brewery in Shoreditch.

Roger L Martin, Power and Paralysis: Why Hierarchies Hate Innovation. The celebrated strategy thinker and former Dean of the Rotman School of Management will dissect a critical paradox: why organisations, despite needing innovation to survive, often actively stifle it.
Maz Farrelly, How to Get People to do What You Want – and Make them Want to do it. Based on her decades of experience producing everything from Big Brother to the US Apprentice with Donald Trump, audiences will unlock the secrets of instant behaviour change Maz learned from years of live TV – where decisions are made on the spot. This interactive session will give practical tools on influencing behaviour in real-time a brain-bending understanding of how to get people to do exactly what you want, and enjoy doing it.
Dan Davies, Power without accountability: How organisations make weird decisions. Dan Davies will expose the hidden power dynamics within large organisations that lead to disastrous decisions. He argues that organisations aren’t simply collections of individuals, but complex systems where power concentrates, creating independent goals and even self-serving “personalities.” He reveals how this unchecked power can warp incentives, silence dissent and drive businesses toward outcomes that no individual intended. Audiences will learn how to identify and challenge the forces that undermine rational decision-making.
