Capitol Theatre, Singapore – Motion Sickness has been named Independent Agency of the Year at the 2026 Spikes Asia Awards, following a standout night that also saw the creative company take home the Grand Prix for Good.

Alongside the Grand Prix, awarded to the Māori Roll Call, Motion Sickness collected three Gold and two Bronze Spikes, with wins spanning creative effectiveness, the award for change, brand experience and creative commerce. The performance also cemented Motion Sickness as the #3 Strategy & Effectiveness Agency of the Year in APAC, underscoring the agency’s growing reputation for work that delivers both cultural impact and measurable results.

“It’s a pretty surreal feeling for the team, ” says Alex McManus, Partner and GM. “Last year was huge for Motion Sickness, and it’s encouraging to see 2026 is showing no signs of slowing down. These awards help recognise this whole company’s incredible talent, our client partners’ trust and bravery, and I think also help confirm that while we’re really great at Herpes, we’re pretty great at other things too.”
The Grand Prix-winning Māori Roll Call campaign has become one of the most widely recognised pieces of creative work to emerge from Aotearoa in recent years, helping drive national conversation around Māori electoral enrolment and representation.
