Buenos Aires,April 6, 2026 – As part of Accessibility Week, Fundación Jean Maggi and VML Argentina unveiled the MONSTER CHAIR, a striking wheelchair with oversized wheels designed to spotlight a problem that is as common as it is frustrating: cars blocking access ramps and limiting accessibility in our cities.
While thousands of people with disabilities fight every day for their independence and their right to move freely, a single poorly parked car can turn an everyday route into an impossible obstacle. This situation, which limits autonomy and forces people to find alternative routes, is the driving force behind this disruptive campaign.
The MONSTER CHAIR was created as a powerful awareness piece that reflects the reality many people face. Inspired by monster trucks, this wheelchair can climb sidewalks and roll over any obstacle that prevents people with disabilities from moving freely.
“To highlight this issue, we came up with a solution that is as absurd as it is necessary: creating the chair people with disabilities would need to use just to get over access ramps when they’re blocked by cars,” said Jean Maggi, President of Fundación Jean Maggi. He emphasized that blocking ramps is one of the most common traffic violations — yet one of the least reported and least visible.
The MONSTER CHAIR has already begun its awareness tour. This past weekend, it was showcased at the opening of the TC2000 race, sparking strong reactions and conversations among attendees and motorsport fans.
Its mission is to travel across the country and put the urgent need to guarantee mobility rights for everyone at the center of the public agenda.
Fundación Jean Maggi and VML Argentina invite everyone to join the conversation. #UnblockTheRamps #NoTapemosRampas
