MissionOne Media Launches M1 Refinery, an AI-Powered Tool Unlocking the “Why” Behind Creative Performance

BarkleyOKRP and its media brand, MissionOne Media, announce the launch of M1 Refinery™, a proprietary AI-powered platform built to advance integration through innovation. M1 Refinery delivers data-driven insights into creative performance, finally answering the question: why does one ad perform better than another?

While A/B testing and standard platform reports can show which ads perform best, they rarely explain why. M1 Refinery fills this gap by analyzing up to 200 creative elements  in an ad—such as product type, color, emotion, props, location, language and video length—across platforms including Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube and Display. By mapping these elements to real campaign KPIs, M1 Refinery identifies the creative features that actually drive results.

Enabled by Google Cloud and Google’s Gemini models, M1 Refinery combines advanced AI with MissionOne Media’s proprietary technology to give marketers a more transparent and actionable view into creative performance.

“Creative has always been the biggest driver of media performance, but until now, brands have been left guessing at the why,” said Sean Corcoran, president of MissionOne Media. “M1 Refinery gives marketers a cheat code: precise, data-backed insights into what’s working and why, unlocking smarter creative briefs, stronger collaboration between media and creative teams, and more efficient campaigns.”

The platform creates a continuous feedback loop: ads are launched, tagged, and scored by M1 Refinery; insights reveal the combinations of features linked to higher performance; and new creative is developed using those insights. This process fuels a cycle of testing and optimization that balances consistency with innovation.

Early client results include a 22% lift in Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) for FullBeauty Brands’ Meta campaigns, and a 20% higher Click-Thru Rate (CTR) on average after just one round of M1 Refinery insights. M1 Refinery also earned industry recognition as the Creative Agency category winner at Google’s 2025 Ad Impact Awards for retailer James Avery.
