December, 2025.- Independent global public relations agency MikeWorldWide (MWW) has announced the hiring of Abraham Espinosa as its new Executive Vice President of Strategy, a newly created role effective as of December 2. In this pivotal position, Espinosa will report directly to the agency’s founder and CEO, Michael Kempner, underscoring the critical importance of strategic planning in the firm’s new growth phase.
Kempner has described Espinosa as the “strategist’s strategist,” highlighting that his addition will significantly strengthen the agency’s ability to turn abstract strategies into action and tangible results. Espinosa’s approach prioritizes human and cultural understanding over sole reliance on cold metrics; per his philosophy, data without human perspective is merely “costly confusion.” His mission will be to identify unwritten cultural messages and unconscious consumer behaviors to inspire creativity and solve complex client challenges.
The executive joins from Golin, where he served as Senior Vice President and Executive Strategy Director until December 1. Espinosa clarified that his departure follows the recent acquisition of Interpublic Group (Golin’s parent company) by Omnicom, but emphasizes that his move is unrelated to the job cuts stemming from said merger, but rather a new leadership opportunity.
Espinosa brings a robust international track record with experience in Mexico and the U.S. He began his career as a planner at renowned agencies such as BBDO and Ogilvy in Mexico, rising to Planning Director at Grey Mexico. He subsequently moved his talent to Grey New York before joining Golin in 2020. His impact on the sector was recognized in 2023 when he was included in the prestigious PRWeek 40 Under 40 list, which highlights the most promising young talents in communications.
This appointment comes at a time of momentum for MikeWorldWide, which is solidifying its position as a growing independent agency. Following a challenging 2023, the firm reported a 16% global revenue increase in 2024, reaching $57.1 million according to PRWeek’s Agency Business Report 2025. The agency employs over 200 professionals and operates across North America, EMEA, and Latin America. Furthermore, its expansion was bolstered in February 2024 with the full acquisition of Berk Communications, consolidating a decade-long partnership.
