Boston – April 9, 2026 – Mighty Union, the agency for critical brands, has announced the appointment of Angela Herbst as President, recognizing her leadership in shaping the agency’s positioning, strengthening its operating model, and driving a sustained period of growth.
Herbst, who most recently served as Chief Client Officer, will now oversee the agency’s continued evolution as it doubles down on serving “critical brands” – mission-, life-, and future-critical organizations across industries including aerospace and defense, healthcare, financial services, and higher education.
Herbst’s scope has consistently expanded over her seven years at Mighty Union. Since stepping into the Chief Client Officer role in January 2025, she helped define and bring to life the agency’s impact as an integrated marketing partner to the organizations that people rely on to protect and propel the modern world.
Her leadership has contributed to a period of significant momentum for Mighty Union, including triple-digit growth, an increase in new business wins, expanded partnerships with existing clients, and consistently high employee and client retention.
“Angela has been a driving force behind Mighty Union’s growth,” said Matt Naffah, CEO, Mighty Union. “She’s helped shape how we show up in the market, how we work together, and how we partner with clients, tackling their most complex challenges with her trademark curiosity and conviction. That’s been a big part of Mighty Union’s momentum, and it’s exactly what we need as we continue to scale. This promotion reflects both the impact she’s had and the role she’ll continue to play in where we go next.”
Herbst has also helped drive strong outcomes for Mighty Union’s clients, including the launch of a new deal-based marketing practice that’s driven substantial contract wins for B2G organizations.
“I’ve had the privilege of growing alongside this agency over the past several years and I’m incredibly proud of what we’ve built together at Mighty Union,” said Herbst. “While our momentum has been exciting, what matters most is that we’ve stayed grounded in being insight-driven and collaborative in everything we do. I’m excited for the future and honored to help lead the next chapter.”
Throughout Herbst’s career, she has helped elevate and grow brands including Raytheon Defense, South Shore Bank, UMass Memorial Health, Intelsat, and WIN Waste Innovations.
Before joining Mighty Union, Herbst held brand, strategy, and client leadership positions at renowned agencies including Arnold, Allen & Gerritsen, Hill Holliday, and PJA. She’s an active member of Ad Club Boston and is recognized for her strong track record and expertise in B2B and B2G marketing.
