Mat Zucker Named CMO At Prophet

January 13, 2026 – Long-time Prophet executive and industry leader, Mat Zucker, has been named CMO of the global strategy and creative firm. The move follows Zucker’s success over the past two years as ‘acting CMO’ and the launch under his guidance of the firm’s distinctive positioning as “The Uncommon Growth Company.”

“Mat has been a force multiplier for Prophet and the work we do for our clients,” said Michael Dunn, CEO of Prophet. “Over the last two years, he’s proven he can elevate our brand in the market while building the marketing engine needed to support our growth ambitions. Mat has the rare combination of creative instinct, strategic clarity, and operational discipline that modern marketing leadership demands—and I’m thrilled to welcome him as our full-time Chief Marketing Officer.”

As CMO, Zucker will lead the firm’s brand strategy, marketing operations, communications and PR, digital and content strategy, thought leadership, and demand generation efforts globally. He partners closely with Prophet’s leadership and commercial teams to accelerate growth across regions, practices, and industry verticals, supporting both near-term pipeline and long-term enterprise reputation. He and his team most recently were instrumental in working with the ANA in the launch of its new brand practice.

“I love marketing—both as a practitioner and as a strategist,” said Mat Zucker. “My background has always lived at the intersection of creative and strategy, and I’m excited for the opportunity to continue building Prophet’s reputation and demand generation engine. We launched The Uncommon Growth Company this past year, and I’m energized by the challenge of bringing that story to life even more powerfully—through the work we do, the value we create for clients, and the culture we’re building across the firm.”

An 11-year veteran of Prophet, Zucker was instrumental in building the firm’s digital marketing capabilities and also co-led its global marketing & sales practice for five years. Previous leadership roles include chief creative officer at OgilvyOne New York and executive creative director at R/GA and Agency.com He started career as a copywriter at FCB.

In his spare time, Mat produces two podcasts, Cidiot, about moving to the Hudson Valley, and Rising, about marketing careers.
