Reaching out with a big creative hire from the folks at R&R Partners, who have tapped long-time MAL vet, Chuck Monn, as their new CCO. He concepted “Shot on iPhone,” and has been close on pretty much every major Apple campaign for the last 15+ years, so a huge get for an independent creative shop.
More details below, but the gist is that as the agency celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, they’re staffing up with talent from across the industry’s best agencies to prepare it for the next half century.
Chuck will lead creative efforts, but they’ve also named a new CMO, Head of Production, Head of Strategy and Head of Talent in the last 18 months – pulling folks from Deutsch LA, chiat, R/GA and elsewhere.

- R&R Partners, the shop that created “What Happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas” and helped bring the Raiders to Las Vegas’s Allegiant Stadium, has appointed Media Arts Lab alum Chuck Monn as Chief Creative Officer.
- Monn takes the role of CCO after 15+ years at Media Arts Lab, where he led the development of Apple’s iconic “Shot on iPhone” platform, as well as worked closely on “Mac vs. PC” and dozens of other groundbreaking campaigns for the world’s largest brand.
- Throughout his career, Monn has won over 100 international awards including Cannes Lions, Cannes Grand Prix, D&AD, One Show Gold Pencils, Effie Awards, Webby and Emmy Nominations.
- This will be Chuck’s first time in the top leadership role, where he’ll bring a creative-first approach to the next era of R&R’s creative efforts.
