São Paulo, July 31, 2025 – MAGMA begins a new chapter in its history, marking a phase of strategic restructuring and global expansion. In a move that further strengthens its operations, Giovana Grigolin officially takes over as Managing Director, consolidating the production company’s base in São Paulo with creative excellence, operational intelligence, and forward-looking vision.
“This is a very special moment for MAGMA. We are growing consistently, structuring a strong and competitive team to continue occupying space internationally without losing our authorial and cultural essence,” says Giovana.
“This restructuring will make our operations even more fluid and ensure that our expansion is sustainable.”
This new phase also marks the arrival of Carol Morango as executive producer, joining Magma’s leadership team. With over 15 years of experience as an assistant director in film and advertising, Carol combines her technical expertise with creative sensitivity, taking on a leading role in the production company’s strategic relationships.
“The invitation came naturally, we had already been collaborating and this change was a maturation of that exchange,” says Carol.
Her work brings a key differentiator to MAGMA: a vision deeply connected to the product and guaranteed delivery. With this, the production company moves with greater security, consistency, and competitiveness in international projects—consolidating its position in the global market.
Currently, 80% of MAGMA’s revenue comes from the international market, with projects filmed in Brazil and abroad. This international expansion is led by Manuel Nogueira, the company’s director and founder, and has been fueled by a clear strategy of internationalizing talent—including names like Simon Schmitt, Mahaneela, Javiera, Inada and the growing prominence of Brazilian directors like Thatiane Almeida, who this year won a Silver Lion in Film at the Cannes Film Festival.
With an active international core and an increasingly connected operation between Brazil and abroad, MAGMA reinforces its purpose: to export Brazilian talent and tell stories that cross borders — with identity, sophistication, and cultural impact.
This new configuration reaffirms the production company’s DNA: a creative house with a solid structure, original thinking, and global ambition.
