The way your dog acts reflects on you, and training company Lay Lo and Brass made that connection by literally casting a canine lookalike in the new brand campaign, “A Better Dog Begins With You.”
The work focuses on the everyday relationship between dog and owner: whether your dog acts up or behaves well, it reflects on you. The spot highlights that virtual training isn’t just about technology; it’s about how owners adjust their own behavior to connect better with their pets.
The spot captures the messy charm of pet ownership with playful and relatable moments—like walking into a living room “redecorated” with ripped-up furniture, a dog jumping on guests at the sound of the doorbell, or those inevitable yellow stains on a pristine white carpet. It all ties together with a hopeful note as a virtual trainer steps in to help get things back on track.
Lay Lo connects dog owners to expert trainers virtually, to work with dogs in their own home, where dogs act more naturally without the distraction of an in-person visitor. “The inspiration for this campaign came from experiencing Lay Lo’s training firsthand, testing the service ourselves with our dogs,” says Courtney Hetherington, Head of Marketing at Brass.
The campaign will appear on socials starting November 21.
