Courage and KFC just dropped their newest campaign yesterday : Kyle F*cking Connor. 

For years, fans have affectionately referred to Connor as “Kyle F*cking Connor” or should I say KFC. Courage saw an opportunity within KFC’s Jets sponsorship to tap into something no other QSR NHL sponsor can claim: its name.

This idea works by leveraging cultural relevance, inserting KFC into an existing fan conversation and playfully shifting its meaning, ultimately staying true to how Jets fans already see both Connor and the brand.

From a creative standpoint, the ad features Kyle Connor in the iconic Colonel Sanders suit: dressed in all white with a bolo tie. Helping introduce the all new Kyle F Connor Meal in a way that’s both subtle and unmistakable.

This simple concept capitalizes on the KFC x KFC word play in an authentic and ownable way to allow the brand to continue showing up in sports culture maintaining relevance and surprise. Keeping KFC in the centre of fan conversations.
