Kathy Najimy Puts Her Most Eccentric Possessions Up for “Winheritance” in New ARAG Will-Making Campaign

DES MOINES, Iowa (Oct. 1, 2026) — ARAG® is joining forces with fan-favorite actress Kathy Najimy for “The Great Winheritance,” an interactive campaign that puts an unexpected spin on making a will.

Starting today through Oct. 31, fans can visit TheGreatWinheritance.com to explore Najimy’s collection of eccentric personal items and submit a pitch explaining why they deserve to win one of her iconic possessions.

Despite the importance of having an estate plan, a Pew Research Center survey reveals that nearly 70% of American adults still have not created a will. ARAG’s playful campaign turns that statistic on its head for National Estate Planning Awareness Month, demonstrating that creating a will does not have to be intimidating or morbid. Instead, it is a proactive way to celebrate your life, protect your loved ones, and decide where your favorite possessions end up on your own terms.

Through Legal Now, ARAG aims to make estate planning far more approachable by offering attorney-reviewed, state-specific DIY document templates, telephone legal advice, and discounted access to network attorneys for more than 100 common legal matters. Najimy worked with ARAG to update her own will using DIY Docs® from LegalNow®…and decided to have a little fun with what goes in it.

Here are a few of Kathy’s favorite items up for grabs in The Great Winheritance, along with her thoughts on why she loves them:

  • “My Boogie Bird”: “Yes, it’s a disco ball shaped like a chicken. No, I don’t have an explanation. I just have excellent taste.”
  • “My Eye-Catching Jacket”: “Eye just think you would look as fabulous as Eye did in this mesmereyesing jacket. See what Eye did there? Eye did!”
  • “All-Seeing Ring”: “Forget seeing-eye dogs. This size 7 ring always looked out for me and never once peed on my carpet. Who’s a good ring?!”
  • “My First Crystal Ball”: “This crystal ball told me I was going to make it in Hollywood. What will it tell you?”

“Kathy Najimy’s iconic humor helps make a topic people often put off feel much more approachable,” said Chris Owens, Director of Marketing at ARAG. “National Estate Planning Awareness Month is a great reminder that having a will is really about making your wishes clear and deciding what matters to you. Legal Now makes it easier to take that step, and ‘The Great Winheritance’ shows the process can be personal, straightforward, and—if you’re Kathy—pretty entertaining.”

To help fans get started on their own wills, ARAG will be reducing the cost of DIY Docs to $99 through Oct. 31. To learn more about LegalNow® or to create your own estate planning documents, visit ARAGlegal.com/personal-legal-services.
