April 2026 – MyMama Entertainment announces the arrival of filmmaker and visual artist Juh Almeida to its roster of directors. A professional with a strong visual signature, recognized for her sophisticated cinematography and keen eye built from her training and repertoire in photography, she works across advertising, film, television, and music videos, developing a career marked by versatility in languages and a constant aesthetic investigation in contemporary audiovisual media.
With experience at Pródigo Filmes, TV Globo, and Café Royal, Juh Almeida has built a solid career as a director. In advertising films, she has directed campaigns for brands such as Google, Meta, Nike, Vivo, Lacoste, Avon, Melissa, Havaianas, Brahma, Nivea, Afropunk Brasil, Consul, Avatim, and Neutrogena, in partnership with some of the leading agencies in the Brazilian advertising market, such as África, AlmapBBDO, and AKQA, among others.
Her work in advertising stands out for its ability to transform briefs into cinema, combining aesthetic sophistication, strategy, and narrative power to create films with identity, emotion, and cultural impact. She also moves fluidly between different formats, from branded content to product films, institutional videos, and product placement, always bringing a refined visual treatment, direction, and attention to detail that elevate the advertising language. Her versatility allows her to navigate multiple genres and approaches without losing aesthetic consistency and authorial identity.
Juh Almeida explains that what motivates her is when advertising transcends mere communication and transforms film into an experience. “I’m interested in challenging aesthetics and narrative at the highest level to build images that communicate, define culture, and elevate brand positioning. I always seek to work collaboratively and attentively with agencies and clients on projects that demand scale, precision, and real ambition—films where the construction of language is strategic and each directorial decision rigorously upholds the strength and relevance of the brand,” says the director. “I arrive at MyMama with enthusiasm and a sense of belonging, excited for this new phase and eager to build projects that meet the demands of today’s market,” she adds.

In addition to Juh Almeida, MyMama Entertainment’s roster of directors includes the duo Kid Burro, Lili Fialho, Quinto, Ricardo Souza, Roguan, Roma Joana, and Urso Morto.
Performance in entertainment
With extensive experience in the entertainment industry, Juh Almeida directed episodes of the telenovela ‘Vai na Fé’, broadcast by Rede Globo, expanding her work to include high-profile serial narratives. In parallel, she directs music videos and personal projects that engage with music, image, new imaginaries, and contemporary culture.
In cinema, he made the auteur short films ‘Náufraga’, ‘Irun Ori’, ‘Eu Negra’, ‘OL é de Lésbica’, ‘Axé Irmãos’ and ‘Canção’, films that explore identity, spirituality, affection and black experiences, with a strong aesthetic and experimental character.
Currently, she is developing new personal projects, including the film ‘Mother Can Be Two’, a project that was screened at DOCSP (São Paulo International Documentary Film Festival); the feature film ‘Hot Like Coffee in Summer’; the short film ‘Cracks’, filmed between New York and São Paulo; and the feature-length documentary ‘Real Mother’, an autobiographical work about her experience as an adopted daughter.
She also directed several music videos for artists such as Luedji Luna (feat. Zudizilla), Ivy Sole , Tuyo , Josyara , Gabz , Nayri , Larissa Luz , and MC Tha , in a directing work that engages with contemporary music and culture, exploring visual language, performance, and image construction.
Juh holds a master’s degree in Audiovisual Media and Processes from the University of São Paulo (USP), where she is researching Black female characters in Brazilian television drama. Her artistic practice combines creation, research, and direction across multiple languages and formats, establishing an authorial presence in contemporary Brazilian audiovisual media.
Throughout her career, she has received awards and recognition in various audiovisual fields, such as Cannes Lions, Whext, VME Awards, Music Video Festival, and the Grande Otelo Award for Brazilian Cinema, in addition to his auteur short films being featured in festivals and exhibitions in several countries.
