JD Institute Introduces New-Age Programmes in Design, Luxury and Entrepreneurship

New Department of Design launched to strengthen interdisciplinary learning and prepare students for emerging careers in the creative economy

JD Institute Introduces New-Age Programmes in Design, Luxury and Entrepreneurship

Mumbai, 25th May 2026: JD Institute of Fashion Technology has announced the launch of a new portfolio of Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes across design, luxury, branding, entrepreneurship and business innovation. As part of this academic expansion, the institute has also introduced a dedicated Department of Design aimed at strengthening interdisciplinary learning, innovation-led pedagogy and industry integration across its centres.

The newly launched programmes are designed to reflect evolving industry requirements and address the growing demand for professionals with a hybrid skill set across creativity, strategy and business.

The new Undergraduate programmes include:
• B.Des in Visual Communication
• B.Des in Communication Design
• B.Des in Product Design
• B.Des in Fashion Communication & Styling
• BBA in Design Entrepreneurship & Analytics (DEA)
• BBA in Luxury Brand Management
• BBA in Design Management
• BBA in Fashion Business & PR

The newly introduced Postgraduate programmes include:
• MBA in Design Entrepreneurship & Analytics (DEA)
• MBA in Luxury, Branding & Strategy (LBDS)

The Department of Design will focus on enhancing curriculum design, strengthening industry exposure, and enabling cross-disciplinary collaboration to better prepare students for evolving creative careers.

Commenting on the announcement, Rinesh Dalal, Director, JD Institute of Fashion Technology, said, “Future-ready education must go beyond silos. Today’s creative professionals are expected to integrate design thinking with business acumen, communication and technology. Through these new programmes and the Department of Design, we aim to provide students with applied learning, industry exposure and the agility required to succeed in a rapidly evolving creative economy.”

As industries continue to evolve driven by digital transformation, branding, luxury consumption and content-led business models, the need for structured, industry-aligned creative education continues to grow.

With this expansion, JD Institute strengthens its position as a key contributor to nurturing future creative leaders, entrepreneurs and innovators in India.
