Twenty-one young football talents from the isobel Kick’s grassroots girls’ football initiative were invited to an exclusive experience day by the Chelsea Foundation at the club’s iconic Stamford Bridge stadium.
Kicking off with a female empowerment workshop, the teams covered topics including tackling stereotypes, empowerment and the importance of having relevant role models. A stadium tour and a museum visit revealed the history and heritage of one of London’s most famous football clubs.
In July 2024, The London-based agency signed two more U16s teams, from Southeast London to Manchester. The isobel Kicks initiative began in 2023 to help grow the grassroots girl’s game and provide football kit sponsorship to teams that don’t have the financial backing.
“We’re all hugely proud of isobel kicks,” says Jamie Williams, managing partner, isobel. “It continues to grow, and the feedback we get from clubs is fantastic. The Chelsea Foundation opportunity was one we wanted to make happen, and the structure of the day they put on for our teams was really special. Alfie (from the Chelsea Foundation) is a great communicator and we’re hugely grateful to him and Chelsea FC for hosting us, and giving the girls such a meaningful and fun experience.”
