HOLLYWOOD – ICG Magazine, the official publication of the International Cinematographers Guild, today launched a new podcast, Outside the Frame, available on Local 600’s YouTube, as well as Apple Podcasts and Spotify.
Outside the Frame will spotlight award-winning Local 600 camera and publicity professionals, as well as their creative collaborators, taking listeners behind the scenes with the creative teams shaping today’s film and television industry. Episodes will be released bi-monthly, and the podcast is hosted by ICG Magazine Executive Editor David Geffner.
“Our new podcast expands our ability to share in-depth stories about the union crews who bring our favorite feature, episodic, unscripted, and commercial projects to life,” says Geffner. “We can’t wait to share these insightful conversations with the ICG membership, along with our global audience of film lovers.”
The debut episode, available now, features a conversation with Director of Photography Kramer Morgenthau, ASC, and Director Julius Onah, discussing their work on Marvel’s recent theatrical hit, Captain America: Brave New World.
Upcoming episodes feature interviews with Johanna Coelho and Aymae Sulick, director of photography and B-camera operator for MAX’s hit series The Pitt, as well as Caleb Dewart, Managing Partner of the LA-based commercial production company Hungry Man, about keeping commercial work in Southern California following January’s wildfires.
