How does Web3 transform digital practice & Gen Z’s expectations?
Cryptocurrencies, blockchains, NFTs, metaverses and DAOs … as many terms as practices that generate a gigantic media hubbub and are the target of all fantasies.
However, it is hard not to notice that the digital landscape is undergoing a profound transformation, which is often difficult to grasp.
To better understand this, heaven agency carried out a study which separates myth from facts regarding Web3, and focuses in particular on the practices and expectations of Gen Z.
The study that carried out on the population of 18-25 year olds provides many lessons, of which you will find examples below:
- a high level of knowledge of certains Web3 pillars without it being the case for the term itself : 67% of respondents say they know crypto currencies, but only 10% of them know Web3.
- NFTs are still little owned, but arouse a strong desire to acquire: nearly 50% of 18-25 year olds plan to buy them.
- out of all the Web3’s promises, personal data control is the most expected: 83% of respondents would like to have the possibility to manage their personal data more easily.
This study is part of the continuity of heaven’s mission, which is to connect brands to the communities and conversations that are born and live on the Web.
Following this conference, heaven produced its own NFTs, the “meta angels”, now available on Foundation.
