Madrid, March 10, 2025 – Havas PLAY continues its growth in the Spanish market as a strategic player for advertisers in the design of strategies for cultural relevance, entertainment, sports and IP creation. In line with its expansion plan, the company continues to enhance its capabilities in order to help advertisers create more relevant brands, by focusing on the integration of talent and new business opportunities.

In this context, Havas PLAY announces the incorporation of Carlos Ranedo as IP & Strategic Alliances Development Director, a position from which he will be responsible for enhancing strategic relationships with different players in the entertainment world and connecting brands with entertainment properties or experiences.

His arrival reinforces Havas PLAY’s Growth team, led by Álvaro Malmierca, Business Growth Partner, which also includes Clara Ramírez, who joined in May 2024 in the position of Growth & Marketing Director, and Abel Delgado, Innovation Booster in Entertainment, Fandom & Gaming. Its objective is to consolidate existing projects with the group’s clients, while expanding its reach to direct clients, exploring new business opportunities and raising awareness of Havas PLAY’s capabilities in the market.

With more than 20 years of experience in the entertainment, film and e-Sports sector, Carlos Ranedo has held key roles as Chief Revenue Officer at Movistar Riders, leading business development and sponsorship management for brands such as Movistar, HP and Mahou, as well as Head of Sports at Ogilvy, where he worked with brands such as LaLiga, Finetwork, Decathlon, Príncipe and Reale.

“His track record in business development and in the creation of strategic alliances, will allow us to continue to evolve and offer innovative and unique solutions to advertisers. His incorporation to Havas PLAY was a very natural step and the perfect time was now,” explains Álvaro Malmierca, Business Growth Partner.

This strategic commitment is driven by the recent acquisition of CA Sports, and the alliances that Havas PLAY has been establishing in the last year, with different partners in the territories of entertainment, music, social influence, distribution platforms and audiovisual production, in order to offer a holistic and differential approach to help brands create relevant and impactful projects for their businesses.
