Austin-based marketing and advertising agency GSD&M, today announced a new appointment to their executive leadership team with Peggy McCann joining as Chief Media Officer. McCann will be responsible for enhancing GSD&M’s integrated marketing approach across its roster of clients that includes the U.S. Air Force, Corona, Capital One, MD Anderson, Southwest Airlines, Stellantis (Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat and Alfa Romeo), and others.
With a career-long dedication to media, McCann’s experience spans many top agencies and brands. She joins GSD&M from Horizon Media where she was executive vice president of business solutions and spent a decade honing best-in-class, data-led, digital-first communications strategies. She’s also held senior leadership roles at Universal McCann (UM) and J3 at UM. Her work spans prominent brands such as American Express, Johnson & Johnson, Nationwide Insurance, Omega, LG, Snyders-Lance, Little Caesars and many others.

GSD&M also recently appointed Joe McCaffrey as its new senior vice president, head of social media. McCaffrey joins the agency from Khoros where he was integral to the development of social marketing solutions that brought top brands to life in social media through content strategy, strategic partnerships, and community management. Prior to that, as Head of Social Media at Huge Inc. he scaled the social practice, fostering relationships with marquee brands like Audi, TD Ameritrade, and Kohl’s.
