Omio, the pioneering booking platform for multi-modal travel in Europe, has awarded Manifest a global PR brief following a competitive pitch process. This collaboration will not only amplify Omio’s existing presence in the UK, with a particular emphasis on its unparalleled train offerings and sustainable travel but will also extend to the United States.
News release: 6th December 2023
The win puts Manifest at the heart of Omio’s mission to unify global transport under a single system and promote more sustainable ground transport options including trains, coaches and ferries. As part of the retained brief, Manifest’s remit includes managing the UK and US press office work, creative campaigns, influencer relations and overseeing brand awareness to support Omio’s communication strategy and calendar moments.
Catharina Rijstenbil, VP of Brand & Creative at Omio says: “We want to enable billions of people to travel seamlessly, anywhere, anyway. Manifest’s impressive understanding of the Omio brand and the agency’s strong press office portfolios, creative capabilities and team dynamic made them the perfect choice for the next chapter of our growth in the US.”
Omio’s sales dipped 98% during COVID lockdowns but have now recovered and the brand is in its strongest position to date. The only platform that offers train, plane, ferry, and bus options all in one place, the company has raised more than $400m and is backed by investors including Atomico and Battery Ventures.
Ali Maynard-James, Managing Partner at Manifest UK (and frequent train passenger) says: “This is the kind of brief we love. A travel brand that’s having a genuine positive impact on the world, but doesn’t yet have the awareness it deserves. Omio is a true disruptor of a category in need of modernising and that’s where our team can make an impact, through bold creative and a robust media and influencer press office. Operating as one global team alongside our US studios as part of our “No Sleep ‘til Brooklyn” approach has already clearly paid off and we can’t wait to achieve even more next year with the ambitious team at Omio.”
Manifest recently launched its sixth office, with Julian Obubo overseeing operations in Los Angeles. With studios in London, Manchester, Stockholm, New York, Melbourne and now Los Angeles, Manifest is expecting its fastest year of growth yet. As a ‘Unified’ agency, the business delivers the full gamut of creative services across brand consultancy, creative development, and campaign delivery — all revolving around one central ‘Unifying Strategic Proposition’ for brands.
The company’s global client roster already includes some of the world’s biggest brands including Diageo, SC Johnson, Pernod Ricard, Logitech and Tommee Tippee.
