Essentia Home Opens in Mumbai: A New Standard for Design Living in the City

Mumbai, May 2026: Essentia Home, the retail and design products arm of Essentia Group, has opened its first standalone experience centre in Mumbai. Located at Matulya Centre, Lower Parel, the 10,000 square foot space marks the brand’s most significant retail milestone since its flagship in Gurugram and brings a carefully curated world of furniture, lighting, décor, and bespoke interior solutions to one of India’s most design-forward cities.

The Mumbai store is not a showroom in the conventional sense. It has been conceived as a destination where architects, interior designers, developers, and homeowners can experience the full range of what Essentia Home stands for — a considered edit of some of the world’s finest design brands alongside Essentia’s own range of furniture and furnishings, manufactured in India to an international standard.

The store brings together an exceptional collection of global names including Nolte Küchen, Melogranoblu, Hind Rabi, Tom Dixon, Alessi, Culti, Paola Paronetto, Vanessa Mitrani, and Ichendorf — reflecting the breadth and depth of Essentia Home’s global curation. Further brand additions are already in discussion and will be announced in the months ahead.

Every brand in the store has earned its place through the same question Essentia Home asks of everything it carries — not simply does this look beautiful, but does it do something nothing else can do quite as well.

Speaking about the Mumbai opening, Hridik Chawla said:

“Mumbai has always had a distinct design sensibility. People here know what they want and they want it without compromise. When we designed this space we were not thinking about filling a floor with products. We were thinking about how someone walks in, what they feel the moment they do, and what they leave wanting to do with their own home. That is the only brief that mattered.”

The decision to open a standalone building in Lower Parel reflects Essentia Home’s long-term commitment to the Mumbai market. Lower Parel has emerged as the natural home of design, architecture, and premium retail in the city, and the standalone format allows the store to function as a genuine experience destination rather than a conventional retail visit.

Essentia Home is backed by the full capabilities of Essentia Group, India’s only fully integrated design, manufacturing, and build firm. With over 1,000 projects delivered across UHNI residences, developer fit-outs, and corporate campuses, alongside a 150,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Gurugram, Essentia brings to its retail arm something few design destinations can offer — the ability to not just show what great living looks like, but to actually build it.

The Essentia Home Mumbai experience centre is now open at Matulya Centre, Lower Parel, Mumbai. The store is open to homeowners, architects, interior designers, and developers by appointment and walk-in.
